This year's holiday event is comprised of a Score-O, White, or Yellow courses in the morning and a Relay in the afternoon for a single entry fee. The venue is Hard Labor Creek State Park's Lake Brantley. Parking will be near the park office.
The morning Score-O course offers 25 checkpoints that can be visited in any order. There is a time limit of 60 minutes and a penalty of 10 points for every minute over time. Checkpoints will be worth from 5 to 40 points each, with a total possible score of 495 points if all checkpoints are visited within the time limit. All runners should plan on being finished by 12 noon or shortly thereafter.
White and Yellow courses will also be available in the morning. The White course is 1.3 km with 55 m of climb and the Yellow course is 2.6 km with 85 m of climb. Courses open at 10:00am and beginner instruction will be available.
The Relay event will be held in the afternoon with a Mass Start at 1:00pm. The Relay event has 3 different relay legs, each approximately 1.4 km in length. Teams of 3 may sign up to run 1 leg each, teams of 2 may sign up to run 1 or 2 legs each, and individuals may sign up to run all 3 legs. Eech relay team member must sign up and register separately. Teams will be randomly assigned to one of 6 different leg combinations which run the legs in different order.
