Join us for the Island Ford Score-On on Sunday, February 14th (yes, Valentine’s Day). We will have White, Yellow and Score-O courses available.
The Score-O will have an 80 minute time limit. There are 12 controls worth 10 points and 12 controls worth 20 points. In general, the easier controls will be worth 20 points. There is a 5 point per minute overtime penalty.
It is a small park with a good network of trails, don’t expect a lot of navigation challenges. So, if you are fit and fast, but your navigation is a little shaky, this might be your time to shine.
Early runners should see deer. I saw at least 5, each time I visited the park.
To make sure we have enough maps and save time on the day, please pre-register. Score-O, White, and Yellow fees are $7 for members, $10 for non-members. E-punch rental is $3 for the day.

GAOC offers beginner instruction at 10am at all local meets. Runners may start their course any time between 11am and 1pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the courses by 3pm.
From I-285 in Atlanta, take GA-400 North. Take exit #6 and go West on Northridge Road, cross GA-400 and take an immediate right. Go approx. 4⁄10 mile and turn right on Roberts Drive. Island Ford is ½ mile on the right.
Typical fees are shown below. Participants may go out on the course as individuals or with a group. E-chip rental is required if you do not have your own stick.
