Join GAOC at another CRNRA (along the river) Park! The weather will be fine.
We will offer many courses, one at a level you will enjoy.
You will be invited to test your orienteering skills, both mental and physical.
Be sure to check your codes for you may expect to find controls placed on nearby duplicate feature. You must digest your descriptions completely!

Note: Parking is tight, so please follow all signs and park only on one side of the road, allowing space for emergency trucks. Also, DO NOT follow your GPS/Phone directions for they will take you to the South end of the park. Follow the directions on the GAOC web map!
There are NO facilities save a Port-a-pot!
There is the standard CRNRA parking fee.
If you are bringing a group (+6), please let us know.
Please Pre-register on GAOC site and bring those "PARENT signed" forms for all kids under 18 to the meet!

GAOC offers beginner instruction at 10am at all local meets. Runners then may start their course any time between 11am and 1pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the course by 3pm.
North Parking Area
Palisades West, CRNRA From Atlanta, take I-75 N to I-285 East. Take exit 22 off of I-285, turn right. Turn at next right onto Akers Mill Rd and cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
From I-285 West. Take exit 22. Go straight off of the ramp through the first light. Turn left at the next light (2nd light). Turn right onto Akers Mill Rd, cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
