Shawn and his Dad did an outstanding job, and in the process preserved my reputation as course setter. They got every control except one, which meant I did just the right amount of work.

The "novelty" control had no circle and was worth 100 points. The description showed a "fish" and an "eye" - in the eye of the fish, of course - the big fish drawn on the map in the middle of the lake. The bag was underwater, suspended from a water jug. Several people succeeded in figuring it out. Several people knew it was the fish eye but couldn't find out - work on your triangulation!
