Parking is TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT at this park. PLEASE CARPOOL if you can. If the gravel lot is full you may park on the EXITING side of the road only. Do not park on the right side of the road as you enter, you will get a ticket and the rangers will be very unhappy with us. We'll try to have signs to direct you appropriately. If in doubt, please ask and be patient. Also remember that there is a $3 per car parking fee.
We also still need VOLUNTEERS!!!! The economy is bad, and what better way to make your orienteering dollar go further than to volunteer. All volunteers get a coupon for a free map fee. We can use help with registration, starts, finishes, parking directing, and bag pickup. Let me know in advance if you can, but showing up willing to help is awesome too.

North Parking Area
From Atlanta, take I-75 N to I-285 East. Take exit 22 off of I-285, turn right. Turn at next right onto Akers Mill Rd and cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
From I-285 West. Take exit 22. Go straight off of the ramp through the first light. Turn left at the next light (2nd light). Turn right onto Akers Mill Rd, cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
