"Sweetwater Creek is a peaceful tract of wilderness only minutes from bustling downtown Atlanta. A wooded trail follows the free-flowing stream to the ruins of the New Manchester Manufacturing Company, a textile mill burned during the Civil War. Beyond the mill, the trail climbs rocky bluffs to provide views of the beautiful shoals below." - quote from http://www.gastateparks.org.
The river offers beautiful and historic scenery. The water level in the river is really high, which gives some extra challenge to some of the courses. The map has few green areas, but offers a great challenge on the longer courses with lots of climb.
All courses will have e-punch. Instruction for beginners will be available throughout the meet starting at 10am. Start times are 10am until 1pm with a maximum of 3 hours on all courses.
From Atlanta, west on I-20 to exit 44. South on Thornton Rd. Right on Blairs Bridge Rd. Left on Mt Vernon. Follow signs to Park.
