There are 1200 acres of scenic woods, fields, creeks and lakes. You can see native, live animals on exhibit (non-releasable) and in the wild, hike and bike 17 miles of trails, horseback ride 10 miles of trail separate from the hiking and biking trails, enjoy wildflower landscapes in the Woodland Garden and Children's Garden, picnic...
And of course, great orienteering!
Please keep in mind, there are NO dogs allowed in the park. We will be at Shelter #1, the same as last year.
South on I-75 to exit 198, High Falls Rd. Turn left and go 4.7 miles & turn right onto Mt Vernon Church Rd. Nature Center entrance is 3.2 miles on left.
GAOC offers beginner instruction at 10am at all local meets. Runners then may start their course any time between 11am and 1pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the course by 3pm.
