Sweetwater Creek State Park
Sunday, 12/4/2011

Please come out and join us for our last meet of the year: Sprint and Relay events at Sweetwater State Park next Sunday, December 4th. Andi Berger is our Meet Director and you can contact her with any questions you might have at 770-314-5460. Steve Shannonhouse is our course designer and Steve Houghton will be putting out controls.

We will have a Sprint event available for starts between 10 and 11 am and we will need to have the course cleared by 1 pm when we will begin the relay event. All courses need to be cleared by 3 pm, as usual.

The Relay event will be set up for 3-person relay teams and there will be a Mass Start at 1 pm. There will be one (1) ePunch stick used by each team and it will be passed as a baton from runner to runner. There will be 3 different legs, so only a third of the runners will be on the same leg at any one time, and the three runners in each team will end up running different legs. All legs will be about 1k. Although all are welcome and encouraged to participate, the winning school team will be awarded free T-Shirts!

For those that absolutely must compete on their own, or feel particularly heroic, there will be a chance for individuals to run all three legs. Depending on numbers, the individuals may start separately. If this is you, sign up for the Solo Relay.

And just to make sure that we have something for everyone, we are also offering White and Yellow courses, as usual.

To make sure we have enough maps and save time on the day, please go to Andi's registration website and give it a try. If you want to run the Sprint and the Relay, please sign up for each separately as they are separate events.

Want to see who is signed up? Check it out here.

This in no way affects the need for waivers. As usual, please edit your waiver form(s,) which can be downloaded from here. These should be printed and signed as appropriate, and brought along.

We will be set up at Shelter #10, across Mt Vernon Road from the Boat Ramp - see the map.

As a special treat, Bill Farrell has graciously agreed to set up a Trail-O demonstration for those who would like to learn more before signing up for the US Trail-O Champs.

Bring a lunch, check out the Trail-O and socialize between events!

See you next Sunday.
