Spring has sprung! I hope the leaves will be out in time for Chat Bend April 13th to give us a little extra challenge.

We are starting in a different location this time - the Adirondack Camp. We have rented the whole thing - 4 camping shelters. There is a parking lot - when that fills up, park on the shoulder of the access road.

This new start area allows the upper level courses to run over to the flat rock, site of the 2014 US Middle Distance Championships. Lots of boulders and bare rock to navigate.

The lower level courses will patch together trails, old roads and the ubiquitous powerline.

Orange will have a leg that crosses the largest marsh ever on a course at Chat Bend. Even the US Champs courses avoided this marsh. Straight line distance about 150 meters across. Do not set your compass and wade in - go around!

The area around the Adirondack Camp has lots of blackberry brambles - sorry about that. Start and finish will be a little thorny...
