Join us at Tugaloo State Park, on Lake Hartwell, Georgia, on Saturday, May 5, for a day of middle distance orienteering courses in a very open forest.

Control beacons will be turned on to support the new SPORTident (SI) chip SI-11 with SIAC Air+ technology. Along with an internal radio and battery, the SI-11 has an LED that flashes and a beeper to confirm punches. Because of the radio, a runner can run within a foot (30 cm) of the control while waving their hand over the electronic control, recording the punch without breaking stride. No need to stop and insert the finger stick unless the SI-11 doesn't flash and beep.

Schedule

GAOC offers beginner instruction at all local meets. Runners may start their course any time between 11:00am and 1:00pm with a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off the courses by 3:00pm.

Directions

I-85 to Lavonia Exit #173. Turn north over the interstate. After 1/4 mile turn right (across from the Pizza Hut) and follow park signs 7 miles to the park.
