Please join us for our event at Palisades West, Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA) on Sunday, February 21.
We will be located at the north parking lot. This lot is accessed off Akers Mill Road and by turning onto Akers Drive (at the big waterwheel). Go up the hill and turn left into the park. Proceed to the end to find the parking lot (recently built). Please be sure to park only in designated parking spots and pay the CRNRA parking fee.
Note: Masks are required if you are outside on National Park property and unable to social distance. Please put on your mask if you are unable to maintain social distance while on park trails.
Please attempt to make all marsh and stream crossings at paths/bridge crossings. The courses are set so that the best route will take one of two stream/bridge crossings in the middle of the map.
To maintain the health and safety of all participants and volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic, GAOC is implementing special rules for event participants. Please review and follow the GAOC Pandemic Rules. Pre-paid preregistration is required. (Registration will open for our volunteer meet directors at 7:00pm on Monday, February 15th, and will open for other volunteer coupon holders at 8:00pm on Monday, February 15th. Registration will open to everyone at 8:00pm on Tuesday, February 16th.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for free (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.
If you are interested in helping out at the start or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page.
Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. So that we comply with limits on the number of people at the park at the same time, please arrive at the parking area no earlier than 20 minutes before your start time, and leave the parking area within 15 minutes of finishing your course. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.

From Atlanta, take I-75 N to I-285 East. Take exit 22 off of I-285, turn right. Turn at next right onto
Akers Mill Rd and cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
From I-285 West. Take exit 22. Go straight off of the ramp through the first light. Turn left at the next light (2nd light). Turn right onto Akers Mill Rd, cross river. Turn left in 0.7 mi on Akers Dr at Water Wheel. Follow signs to park.
