Join us Sunday, May 2nd, 2021, for orienteering at Sweetwater Creek State Park. Pre-registration is required.

We have rented shelters 3, 4, and 11. At shelter 11 we will have the finish for all courses, the download, and starts for Yellow and Silver. The Start for all other courses will be at the west side of the bridge, with the majority of the points for those courses being on the east side. Please allow 5 - 10 minutes before your start to walk over to the remote bridge start.

Notes:

  1. In accordance with GAOC Covid Guidelines, pre-paid preregistration is required, and there will be no equipment rental of any kind for the event. Water will NOT be provided on any course. Participants must bring their own compass, e-stick, whistle, and water. A few e-sticks are available for purchase on our merchandise page.
  2. Participants will be started promptly at their selected start time. So that we comply with limits on the number of people at the park at the same time, please arrive at the parking area no earlier than 20 minutes before your start time, and leave the parking area within 15 minutes of finishing your course. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.
  3. Participants may only participate in ONE course.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. Directions

From Atlanta, west on I-20 to exit 44. South on Thornton Rd. Right on Blairs Bridge Rd. Left on Mt Vernon. Follow signs to Park. We will be on the picnic loop in shelter #6. The park address is 1750 Mount Vernon Road, Lithia Springs, GA 30122.
