Moore's Bridge, Sunday, April 24th, 2022

Join us for the Moore’s Bridge Park Score-O! on Sunday, April 24th, 2022. There will be White, Yellow, Postage Stamp and Score-O courses available!

Can you catch...hmm, get them all?

We only have access to half the park for the meet - the other half is being used for a movie shoot! So note the Do Not Cross Boundary line.

The Score-O will have a 60 minute time limit. All controls are worth 10 points. There is a 5 point per minute overtime penalty.

Starts are from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. All courses need to be cleared by 3 pm.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. So that we comply with limits on the number of people at the park at the same time, please arrive at the parking area no earlier than 20 minutes before your start time, and leave the parking area within 15 minutes of finishing your course. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.

Directions

From the traffic circle in Whitesburg (the intersection of GA5 and GA16), go north on GA 5 (the opposite direction from McIntosh Reserve) for about a mile and turn right on Black Dirt Road. The park will be down about a mile on the right. There is a sign at the entrance.

The park address is 615 Black Dirt Rd, Whitesburg, GA. This is a Carroll County Park like McIntosh Reserve, and it is not very well known, so your GPS may not know about this park or address.

The only facilities in this park are a restroom (with flush toilets!) and a boat ramp. We will start and finish at the restroom parking lot.
