We are returning to the south side of Pine Mountain, site of the 2023 US Junior Champs! So, a new start location that we have never used before. Your first orienteering task is to find the start/finish!

We will be in the Horse Trailer Parking lot, which is just across the road from the Roosevelt Stables. Here is an address that will get you close: 1063 Group Camp Rd, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.

Drive past Liberty Bell pool on 354, go under the overpass on top of the mountain and down the other side, take the first left - Group Camp Road. If you went to the meet in January, same road. Look for the signs.

Those of you who were volunteers in January, and did not get to go into the woods, here is your chance to see some new terrain!

Notes

1. Water will NOT be provided on any course. A camelbak water carrying device is highly recommended, particularly given the warm temperatures. Participants must bring their own compasses, whistle, and water. Additionally, please be respectful of meet and scoring officials by maintaining appropriate social distancing. DO NOT congregate around the scoring tent after you have downloaded.
2. Pre-paid pre-registration is required. (Registration will open for our volunteer meet directors at 7:00pm on Monday, February 13^th, and will open for other volunteer coupon holders at 8:00pm on Monday, February 13^th. Registration will open to everyone at 9:00pm on Monday, February 13^th.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.
3. Participants will be started promptly at the start time they select when pre-registering. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.
4. Runners will have the option to run one or two courses using the same e-stick. If you want to run two courses, you must pre-register for both courses. On the pre-registration form, you will select your start time for your first course. At the event, when you are ready to start you second course, come back to the start to be assigned a start time. You must start your second course before noon.

To maintain the health and safety of all participants and volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic, GAOC is implementing special rules for event participants. Please review and follow the GAOC Pandemic Rules.

Volunteers needed

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for discounted (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.

If you are interested in helping out at the start, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time. There is a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off all courses by 3:00 pm.

Directions

I-85 South to exit 21. South on I-185 to exit 42. Left on US 27 to Pine Mountain, then left on GA 354 to the park.
