Join GAOC at Dauset Trails on Saturday, October 12^th for Classic Distance courses.

The check in and start will be at west side of the mowed field inside the main gate. Park in the field to your left immediately after entering the main gate. A separate JROTC orienteering event will be held at Dauset Trails on the same day; their start is at a different location. Starts for the GAOC event are from 12:00pm until 1:00pm, and all runners must be back to the finish no later than 3:00pm.

Pets are not allowed inside the fenced area surrounding the nature center. Both the start and the finish are inside the fenced area where pets are not allowed.

Notes

1. Water will NOT be provided on any course. Participants must bring their own compasses, whistle, and water. Additionally, please be respectful of meet and scoring officials by maintaining appropriate social distancing. DO NOT congregate around the scoring tent after you have downloaded.
2. Pre-paid pre-registration is required. (Registration will open for our volunteer meet directors at 7:00pm on Monday, October 7^th, and will open for other volunteer coupon holders at 8:00pm on Monday, October7^th. Registration will open to everyone at 9:00pm on Monday, October 7^th.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.
3. Participants will be started promptly at the start time they select when pre-registering. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.
4. Runners will have the option to run one or two courses using the same e-stick. If you want to run two courses, you must pre-register for both courses. On the pre-registration form, you will select your start time for your first course. At the event, when you are ready to start you second course, come back to the start to be assigned a start time. You must start your second course before 1:00pm.

Volunteers needed

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for discounted (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.

If you are interested in helping out at the start, the finish, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time. All runners must be off all courses by 3:00 pm.

Directions

The park address is 360 Mt Vernon Church Rd, Jackson, GA. Take I-75 to exit 198, High Falls Road. Turn east, drive 4.6 miles, then turn right onto Mt Vernon Church Road. Proceed 3.2 miles to the Dauset Trails Nature Center main entrance.
