The Dauset Trails Nite-O is Saturday, 11-2-2024. We will be at the shelter by the lake. Please enter via the gravel road at the bike trail parking lot.
The event will include 3 options: a night time Score-O (Night-O), a day time Score-O (Day-O), and a White course.
The Night-O will have a mass start at 7:30pm. The start window for the White and Day-O courses will be from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. (The Day-O and Night-O maps are identical, but runners on the Day-O are not competing against runners on the Night-O.)
The Score-Os have a 90 minute time limit with a 10 point penalty for each overtime minute.
The Score-Os consist of 36 controls that you can visit in any order. Each control is worth a different number of points. (Point values for each control will be displayed on the map.) The person with the highest number of points wins. If runners tie on points, the runner with the fastest time wins. The controls are distributed so that visiting all of the controls within the time limit will be very difficult, so planning based on point value is crucial. Planning for the Score-Os will be on the clock, so no previewing of the map before your start time.
Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for discounted (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.
If you are interested in helping out at the start, the finish, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.
Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. Maps for the Night-O will be handed out beginning around 7:20pm, but do not look at the map until the mass start at 7:30pm.
Take I-75 to exit 198, High Falls Road. Turn east, drive 4.6 miles, then turn right onto Mt Vernon Church Road. Proceed 3.2 miles to the Dauset Trails mountain bike trail head. The lat/lon coordinates are 33.23215, -83.94893.
