Join GAOC for the annual BubbaGoat, starting this year at F D Roosevelt State Park's Liberty Bell Pool parking lot.

This is your chance to run long! If you are that guy that complains that our courses are too short, here is your chance to stretch your legs.

• Mass start at 10AM - 4 hour time limit
• Following is allowed
• Skip any two non-consecutive controls. For the Bubbas out there, that is any 2 controls not in a row
• Do every other control in order
• If you wear BIB overalls (real ones), you can start 15 minutes early

Course lengths:
Big BubbaGoat: 9.3km
Small BubbaGoat: 7.5km
Tiny BubbaGoat: 5.2 km

Climb? Yes, there will be climb...

You pick the controls to skip. Reasons to skip:

• "I don't think I can find that one!"
• "I've spent 30 minutes looking for this $@#& control - time to skip!"
• "I am not climbing up there!"
• "Too far - save the legs and skip this one!"

Following is allowed - pick somebody fast (but reliable) and hang on.

There will also be White, Yellow, and Orange courses, regular length. But no Silver, Brown, Green, Red - just the BubbaGoat courses for advanced runners.

The BubbaGoat courses mass start all at the same time - 10AM, with a 4 hour time limit. We will have a briefing before the start so you can ask questions. Starts for the regular courses will be after the BubbaGoat start. Everybody has to be back by 2PM.

If you are late and miss the BubbaGoat mass start, don't despair! You can start when you arrive, but your start time will still be 10:00.

So if you are unsure about your ability to go long, just sign up for one of the BubbaGoat courses and do as much as you can.

Volunteers needed

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for discounted (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.

If you are interested in helping out at the start, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.

Directions

I-85 South to exit 21. South on I-185 to exit 42. Left on US 27 to Pine Mountain, then left on GA 354 to the park.

The park address is 2970 GA-190, Pine Mountain, GA 31822.

Typical fees are shown below. Participants may go out on the course as an individual or as a small group of up to 5 people.
