Here are details about the courses at the last meet of the Spring - and the Annual General Membership Meeting:

Mini Xtreme-O

The MiniXO will have the following challenges (These names come from Andi's XtremeO at the Navigator Cup):

Regular orienteering for 2 controls
"Leap Fog Frog" for 2 controls (portions of the map are missing, and you navigate over the blanks)
"Ditch the Contours" for 2 controls (the map only has ditches and earth banks)
"Moody Moonwalk" for 3 controls (A hill shading relief map!)
"Brown and Blue" for 3 controls (just brown features and water)
Finish with a memory-o for 2 controls (a full map, you just can't take it with you!)

These will all be printed, front and back, on 2 pieces of paper, which you take with you from the start. So no physical challenges (other than just getting around the course), no plotting of points, and no bearings and pace counts (unless you want to).

AGM and Picnic

Remember the picnic and AGM! The club is cooking hot dogs - you bring picnic food to share. Dogs hit the grill at 11:30. The Annual Membership Meeting will follow soon after, with elections, reports, and endless discussion...

Notes

Water will NOT be provided on any course. A camelbak or similar hydration pack is highly recommended. Participants must bring their own compasses, whistle, and water. Additionally, please be respectful of meet and scoring officials by maintaining appropriate social distancing. DO NOT congregate around the scoring tent after you have downloaded.
Pre-paid pre-registration is required. (Registration will open for our volunteer meet directors at 7:00pm on Monday, May 12^th, and will open for other volunteer coupon holders at 8:00pm. Registration will open to all others at 9:00pm.) No paper forms or payments will be accepted on-site.
Participants will be started promptly at the start time they select when pre-registering. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time.

Volunteers needed

Event volunteers are always needed and appreciated. Each volunteer is awarded a coupon that may be used for discounted (and early) event registration or items from our merchandise page.

If you are interested in helping out at the start, search and rescue, or control pickup, please select your volunteer position(s) on the registration page or contact the meet director.

Schedule

Runners must select their start time when pre-registering, and will be started promptly at their selected start time. To facilitate social distancing, please come to the start no earlier than 3 minutes before your start time, but be sure to be at the start on time. There is a 3-hour time limit for all courses. All runners must be off all courses by 1:00 pm.

From Atlanta, go west on I-20 to exit 34, then south on GA 5 to Whitesburg. Go 2 miles past Whitesburg, then turn left on W. McIntosh Circle. The address is 1046 W McIntosh Cir, Whitesburg, GA 30185.
