Join GAOC Sunday, Sunday, March 1st for our event at Sweetwater Creek for orienteering on the West side of the park. This side of the park has a bit less elevation and a good trail network to provide less experienced runners a great opportunity to learn the sport. The start/finish will be located at picnic shelter #5 on the right side of the picnic shelter loop, just past the restroom/play area. Parking can be limited; school groups please carpool as much as possible. Hydration and insect repellant are recommended; there will not be water on any courses.

White through Red courses are offered. Runners should select their start times (0900 – 1200) when registering. Time limit is 3 hours for all courses; however, all courses will close at 2:00pm.

Turnout is expected to be high. Parking is limited close to the start/finish and not exclusive to our event. Please be respectful of other park patrons. There is ample parking closer to the main visitor center if needed. Parking requires a State Park annual pass or a $10 day pass; please support the park.
