GAOC Travel Grant Program
The Georgia Orienteering Club has set aside $2500 annually for travel grants to GAOC members and School teams. Of the $2500 available, $2000 is for school teams and $500 is for individuals. Due to IRS regulations, the total amount that can be awarded to an individual or school team is $500 annually.
The purpose of the GAOC travel grant program is to provide some financial assistance in attending USOF-sanctioned A-meets held by other USOF-sanctioned clubs outside the state of Georgia. The purpose of this program is to aid GAOC Juniors and College students in achieving national USOF rankings and to encourage adults who achieve high USOF rankings.
The grants will be awarded on a first-come basis, in which completed applications for fully eligible GAOC members are submitted to the GAOC official address. All decisions regarding timing, eligibility or other matter related to these grants will be made by the majority vote of the elected GAOC officers. Any grants not used for the event stated in the application must be returned to GAOC.
